After swimming lessons ride to eat at la base café in Verdun, visit a playground, and visit Verdun beach. Not many new parts to the ride other than the streets closest to the pool and a ruelle verte that we needed to use to get past construction on Rue de Verdun.

2024 Bike Ride 27

Solo ride to the bout de l’île (eastern point of the island). I went out (and back) along Notre-Dame and took a few detours on the way back. There are plenty of water fountains, washrooms and playgrounds along this route. I even passed a Salvadoran festival being set up in one of the parks.

This was my longest ride and I considered coming back along the north shore, but didn’t feel like I had enough snacks for that. Most of the route is all new to me.

Today was a Costco run and then off to meet the family at a playground before meandering home via the library. On the way home we took a detour that had us going eastward on the St-Antoine bike lane, which is an oddity.

We rode over the the Insectarium, up through Parc Maisonneuve, and over to eat pupusas on Beaubien before heading home.
